Programming
We design the cultural programme of a venue or an event: selection of artists, formats, calendar and coordination with the venue's own team.
Asociación Cultural La Sala de Sevilla
We programme and produce live music, comedy and theatre, and we take them wherever there is an audience: venues, theatres, festivals, squares and unusual spaces.
Who we are
Since we began as an association we have programmed hundreds of shows —music, theatre, comedy, workshops, talks and presentations— with a great response from audiences, helping to raise the profile of artists from all over Spain and beyond.
Today we have no venue of our own: we work project by project. We choose the space each show calls for —a small venue, a theatre, a square, a festival— and we take everything needed to make it happen.
Our work also crosses borders. We take part in European cultural projects that use theatre and music as a way of bringing people from different countries together, and from them we bring back methodologies that we now apply to our shows and to the workshops we design.
2014
The theatre is born
A group of local artists in Seville starts programming live music in a venue of its own.
2022
The association is founded
The project becomes a non-profit cultural association and is entered in the Andalusian Register of Associations.
2025
First European project
We join the Erasmus+ programme with a non-formal education project alongside Italian organisations.
2026
Workshops in Spain and Italy
We run workshops and training in both countries and submit new projects with partners in Portugal.
Today
We work project by project
With no venue of our own: we choose the space each show calls for and take the production there.
What we do
Three ways of working that feed into one another: what we programme teaches us how to produce, and what we produce opens up new spaces for us.
We design the cultural programme of a venue or an event: selection of artists, formats, calendar and coordination with the venue's own team.
We make sure the show happens: sound, lighting, staging, technical coordination and everything else that is needed on the day of the performance.
We design and deliver theatre and music workshops, also with non-formal education methodologies that we bring back from our European projects.
On stage
An open catalogue of musicians, comedians and theatre companies. Not a closed list: it is put together each season and tailored to each venue.
Where we work
We work project by project: we choose the space each show calls for and we take the team, the sound and the production there. If you have a venue, a festival or an idea, we provide the rest.
